I suppose it’s telling that that the 10 Day Blog Challenge began 4 days ago and I am only now beginning.
But better late than never. Right?
In today’s lesson I was asked to identify challenges. Mine would be too much to do and not enough time. Though I am getting better at this by planning my day in advance using a Bullet Journal (see how it’s helping me be more productive) and Google calendar to break my days into chunks of accountability.
I’ve even gotten good about leaving time for lunch!
One big thing I am trying to better at is being very involved with my kids lives. I thought as they got older (they are 9 & 11 now) that they wouldn’t need me as much. But that is so NOT TRUE! They need me more than ever- to be their guide, to be their mentor, and to be their mom. And I have to admit that it is harder than I thought it would be. Left to their own direction kids get involved in strange things.
So, my challenge work time vs family time – and finding the right balance. Because, even though my kids are home, with me, all day (we homeschool) I have to be sure that they actually get time with me– and not just sitting in the same room as we all work.
